Japanese News in Brief
In Tokyo Japan, a senior officer for the Metropolitan PD has been arrested and charged with Statutory rape. This 56 year old man has been charged with having sex with a 15 year old girl since September of this year. He admits to the charge and was dishonorably discharged from his position on Thursday of this week. Here's the kicker... the child molester worked for the division of the PD that deals with cracking down on child pornography and cases involving sex with minors. The idiot met the child in February through another case he was involved in!

Also in Japan, probably not far from the first case lies yet another interesting piece of news. A 53 year old woman is charged with the murder of her husband. Reports say that her sickly husband and recently returned from the hospital after having a stroke. He could walk but was not able to speak or proceed with normal everyday functions very easily. The woman tied him up to a pole in the front yard with a dog chain and leash and left him there to die. After the man had toiled with the chain trying to get loose he managed to strangle himself by wrapping the chain around his neck 3 good times. His wife then calls the police and says "help, I think my husband may be dead".
When the police arrived she admitted to doing it.

Now, these two cases could have happened in America but it would have been a little different. The first thing I noticed is that both of these folks committed some pretty hanous crimes, but decided to just tell the truth about it. That baffles me! If you are going to kill someone and sleep with a baby...why not lie too? Its very strange but most of the articles I read about crime in Japan, they have no problems figuring out who did the shit because they damn offenders tell on themselves.
